Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Email address and password used for account authentication
- Username, display name, profile biography, and avatar photo
- Vehicle information, including year, make, model, horsepower, torque, city, and state
- Build photos, dyno sheets, short build-related video clips, captions, thumbnails, playback status, and related metadata
- Likes, follows, comments, and other social activity within the app
- Marketplace listings, photos, prices, fitment notes, item condition, location, saved listings, listing reports, and seller reports
- Seller verification applications, including contact name, business or seller name, phone, email, website or social links, service area, inventory summary, and review notes
- Marketplace and direct-message threads, message text, attachments, reports, read status, and related metadata
Permissions
BoostHub may request access to photos or videos when you choose to upload an avatar, build photo, dyno sheet, build video clip, marketplace listing photo, or message attachment. BoostHub may request notification permission for followers, comments, likes, events, verification updates, and account activity.
BoostHub may request location permission if you enable GPS-based nearby-event alerts. BoostHub does not use continuous live GPS tracking. A city and state entered for a build may be converted into approximate coordinates so public builds can appear on BoostMap.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to operate and improve BoostHub, display public builder profiles, provide social features such as likes and follows, verify build credentials, process and display build-related media, operate the marketplace, create seller accounts, route buyer-seller messages, review seller verification applications, process reports, and respond to support requests. We may also use reports and feedback to moderate the app and protect the community.
Data Storage and Service Providers
Your data is stored using Supabase, a third-party infrastructure provider. Photos and files are stored in Supabase Storage. Build videos may be stored, processed, and delivered through Cloudflare Stream. BoostHub stores related video metadata, including the uploading account, associated build, caption, thumbnail, playback information, and moderation status.
We use Sentry for crash reporting and app diagnostics. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Content Moderation
Uploaded photos, dyno sheets, videos, marketplace listings, seller applications, messages, and reports may be reviewed, restricted, held, or removed for safety, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, copyright compliance, policy enforcement, legal requirements, or platform performance reasons.
Account Deletion
You may permanently delete your account at any time from the app by opening your Profile and selecting Delete My Account. You can also review the steps on our account-deletion page.
Deletion permanently removes your account, builds, photos, videos, marketplace listings, seller account records tied to your account, and associated metadata where deletion is legally and technically permitted. Some moderation, transaction-safety, abuse-prevention, or legal records may be retained when required or allowed by law.
Children's Privacy
BoostHub is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe someone under 16 has provided personal information to BoostHub, contact us at support@boosthubapp.com and we will address it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
